Ernest Rangel is a Navajo silversmith and professional rodeo cowboy known for his rugged, high-quality silver belt buckles and bracelets. When he’s not competing, he creates jewelry using traditional techniques like tufa casting—where molten silver is poured into hand-carved volcanic stone molds for one-of-a-kind pieces—and silver overlay, where layered sheets of silver are cut and soldered to form detailed designs.
